Recent studies have pointed to MSC therapy as a promising avenue for managing symptoms of MS thanks to the immunomodulating and regenerative properties that MSCs hold.

During MS flare-ups, the immune system mistakes the coating that protects the nerves (myelin) for foreign objects — causing an inflammatory response that damages the myelin and impairs the brain’s ability to communicate with the body.
