In 2001, Debbie Bertrand started having numbness in her hands and feet. She also experienced difficulty walking, saying that “it felt like my legs were iron.” Upon seeing a doctor, Debbie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which left her shocked and wondering what to do next. It was during church one Sunday that a fellow member approached her about his doctor, Dr. Stanley Jones, and told her about stem cell therapy and Houston-based Celltex Therapeutics Corporation. After doing some online research, Debbie felt stem cell therapy was a treatment option she should try and called Dr. Jones the following Monday to learn more about how the process works.
Life Changing Results That Continue to Amaze
Since Debbie’s last update, she continues to receive stem cell therapy in Mexico. She also continues to experience life-changing improvements in her quality of life.
Today, Debbie is takes just two medications vs. her previous six medications. She no longer must take any injections. But her overall quality of life is where she feels the most improvement. With regained feeling in her hands, and no symptoms of Reynaud’s Syndrome, Debbie averages 7,000 to 8,000 step each day. In addition, she has significantly improved levels of energy, strength and alertness.
Her medical team is amazed by her results. Her Berg Balance score improved from a 32 to a 44/56, indicating that she no longer needs assistive devices or supervision. Additionally, her MRI scans show no lesions of the brain, neck and spine. Simply put, her MS symptoms are residing with no indication of worsening.
Today, Debbie enjoys an active life with her husband and grandchildren and credits Celltex with helping her achieve it.
“I am grateful to Celltex for providing me hope, and for offering the hope of how this amazing technology can provide help for so many in need.”
