Multiple Sclerosis Stem Cell Therapy
Learn About Multiple Sclerosis & Celltex Stem Cell Therapy
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that damages the myelin sheath covering the nerves in the central nervous system. Learn about how Celltex is helping to improve the quality of life of individuals suffering from MS by using their own stem cells.
Condition Overview
What Is Multiple Sclerosis?
MS is an autoimmune disease that damages the myelin sheath covering the nerves in the brain and spine, making it progressively more difficult for the brain and body to communicate — creating problems with balance, muscle control, vision, and more.
How MS affects the body can vary dramatically from individual to individual. Some may lose the ability to walk entirely, while others may experience frequent and extended periods of remission.
Types of MS include relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS), primary progressive MS (PPMS), secondary progressive MS (SPMS) and progressive-relapsing MS (PRMS).

How Can Stem Cells Help with MS?
Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) are a unique, naturally occurring type of stem cell known to have immunomodulating and anti inflammatory properties that could help curb the overactive immune system and limit damage to the myelin sheaths during MS flare-ups.
MSCs also contain regenerative properties that may help promote tissue repair.
Client-reported outcomes
Celltex Results for MS
In a clinical study, Celltex asked clients with RRMS, PPMS, SPMS and PRMS to report on the effectiveness of their stem cell therapy:
- 79% reported that one or more symptoms had improved
- 21% noticed symptom improvement immediately following their Celltex therapy
- 50% stated that between the time of treatment and the time of the survey (in some patients, up to three years), at least one symptom had been completely relieved and had not returned.
Most respondents were at a point in their disease where functional losses are generally considered irreversible and further deterioration is typical — making the improvements seen here even more promising.
