Celltex Therapeutics is hosting a webinar to discuss how MSC therapy can help with symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis.
Celltex is kicking off Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Month by exploring how Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) can be used to help those with MS.
Recent studies have pointed to MSC therapy as a promising avenue for managing symptoms of MS thanks to the immunomodulating and regenerative properties that MSCs hold.
During MS flare-ups, the immune system mistakes the coating that protects the nerves (myelin) for foreign objects — causing an inflammatory response that damages the myelin and impairs the brain’s ability to communicate with the body.
It’s thought that MSCs could help regulate the immune system while mitigating, or potentially repairing, the deterioration of the myelin.
