Celltex client, 24-year-old Sarah Hughes, is celebrating her one-year anniversary since receiving adult stem cell therapy. After years of being severely disabled with serious consequences of systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (SJIA) and severe dysautonomia, Sarah has undergone a life-changing transformation this year that has astounded her family and physicians.

In November 2014, Sarah and her mother decided to try a new therapy made possible by Celltex, a Houston-based biotechnology company that offers a first-of-its-kind proprietary technology that can isolate and expand autologous mesenchymal stem cells to be used for therapeutic applications in quantities never before possible.
One year later, Sarah enjoys her significantly improved quality of life and continues to meet major physical, educational and social milestones with the support of her family, her doctors and Celltex. She is also giving back to her community. On Thursday, December 3, 2015, Sarah glowed radiantly as the angel of the night at the “Be An Angel” Children’s Charity fundraising event.
“At the beginning of this journey, my doctors said that my response to Celltex stem cells gives hope to those who have no hope. Since then, my health has improved beyond my wildest expectations and I want to inspire others to never give up, no matter how sick they are, and let them know that they are not alone,” Sarah says.
