Celltex client Sarah Hughes has inspired many across the country after experiencing major improvements in her quality of life since receiving high-dose, adult mesenchumal stem cell therapy for severe systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (SJIA) and dysautonomia.
Following a public appearance where she shared her incredible story with members of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in September 2016, Sarah caught the attention of her congressman, Texas Rep. Pete Olson (District 22). Olson invited Sarah to be his guest of honor at President Donald Trump’s first joint address to Congress on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, to represent the promise of adult stem cell innovation in Houston and the United States. As part of her visit to Washington D.C., Sarah received a private tour of the United States Capitol and attended the joint session.
