Celltex prides itself on employing the brightest and most qualified scientists to work in its cell manufacturing lab in Houston. One vital member of the team is Premanjali Lahiri, manufacturing manager.
Premanjali has a master’s degree in biotechnology from Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from NMIMS University in Mumbai, India.
Prior to joining Celltex in October 2013, Premanjali worked at the Institute for Applied Cancer Science at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center as a graduate intern, and worked on biochemical and cell-based assays for epigenetic drug discovery. At Texas A&M, she worked as a research assistant at an antibody development laboratory that produced monoclonal antibodies for the development of livestock vaccines.
“The best thing about my job is that I get to manage a great team of technicians,” she says. “We produce billions of adult stem cells for our clients. It’s thrilling to see the lives of some of our clients change after receiving stem cells that we have ‘nurtured’ for two weeks at a time.”
“Celltex is very proud and fortunate to have talented professionals working hard every day to make the company a leader in its field.” —David Eller
